Rob Zombie took the Sundance Film Festival by storm back in January when he debuted his new thriller 31. The project had already landed distribution through Alchemy last summer, but they have not issued a release date as of yet. While we wait for the first trailer, Bloody-Disgusting has gotten a hold of new photos, which feature Richard Brake's Doom-Head in full clown makeup. We got our first look at Doom-Head back in September, but the character wasn't showing such a thirst for blood at the time.

Rob Zombie believes Doom-Head will be the next iconic horror villain. Richard Brake plays Doom-Head as a gruesome individual who likes to dismember his victims. Rob Zombie always comes up with unique and clever way of creating memorable characters, a tradition that will certainly continue with 31.

31 tells the story of five carnies in 1976 kidnapped on the morning of Halloween. They are held hostage in a remote industrial Hell. While trapped, they are forced to play a violent game called 31. The mission is to survive 12 hours against an endless gang of grease painted maniacs. It promises to be 102 minutes of pure terror only like Rob Zombie can deliver.

Rob Zombie reunites with his wife Sheri Moon Zombie and Halloween star Malcolm McDowell for an experience that promises to be unlike any other. This new horror thriller also stars Elizabeth Daily, Meg Foster and Ginger Lynn Allen. Jeffrey Daniel Phillips, who appeared in Rob Zombie's previous directorial effort The Lords of Salem, rounds out the cast alongside Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and Richard Brake.

Back in December, 31 was slapped with an NC-17 rating by the MPAA, and even after Rob Zombie submitted a re-edited cut, the MPAA still gave the film an NC-17 rating. After another round of edits, the MPAA finally gave the movie an R rating in January, for "strong bloody horror violence, pervasive language, sexual content and drug use." With the release of these photos, hopefully the first trailer is right around the corner, but we'll have to wait and see. Until then, check out this latest sneak peek at Rob Zombie's 31.
