Bill & Ted 3 has gone from being an excellent adventure to becoming another bogus journey according to star Keanu Reeves. The actor was recently intervied by MTV, where he revealed that the anticipated sequel has hit a 'rough patch'.

Right now, the movie has been derailed, and Keanu blames it on a darkness that can't quite be described, but should be addressed on a conspiracy site. What, exactly is the hold up? We're not quite sure, but it sounds like something has crawled out of the movie itself to stop it from happening.

Here's what Reeves had to say bout the dire prospects of Bill & Ted 3 going before cameras as it stands now.

"It's a long story. There's lots of subterfuge and conspiracy theories. There's a whole thing...I might have to do one of those independent press, conspiracy, other-name kind of [statements] explaining why it hasn't happened yet, because it's pretty dark out there. DeNomolos is everywhere!

There's all sorts of stuff, and it just can't...There's darkness out there that's keeping it from happening. It's not winning right now. It's that part of the story where it's looking grim. It's the dark period! It's the Apocalypse Now of pre-production. Its Heaven's Gate.

That's the part of the conspiracy. It goes to a whole other universe. Its like part of an M field. It's a B&T field."

This is quite the turn of events, as previously, both Bill & Ted 3 stars Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves seemed eager and happy about making the film, and it seemed to be moving along at a nice pace. Original writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson had written a screenplay that was liked by all, and it was in the process of a rewrite polish. The story sounded promising. Last year, Keanu Reeves even explained in detail what the script was about.

"One of the plot points is that these two people have been crushed by the responsibility of having to write the greatest song ever written and to change the world. And they haven't done it. So everybody is kind of like: 'Where is the song?' The guys have just drifted off into esoterica and lost their rock. And we go on this expedition, go into the future to find out if we wrote the song, and one future 'us' refuses to tell us, and another future 'us' blames us for their lives because we didn't write the song, so they're living this terrible life. In one version we're in jail; in another we're at some kind of highway motel and they hate us."

After this declaration in the interview, the reporter calls Keanu Reeves by the wrong character name. Keanu proceeds to tell this story.

"We were going in, when Alex and I hear we got the roles, we thought we would be playing the other guy's role. He thought he was going to be Ted, and I was going to be Bill. It was weird. Then we both went to wardrobe fittings, and they told us we had the other roles. And we said...Okay. Then, one day we go to shoot the movie. We are out there. We are hanging out. We came too early to the production office, so we go over to the McDonalds to hang out. We come back, and we hear the production guy say, 'I just saw the real Bill and Ted at the McDonalds.' We were like, 'How's it going, dude?' And he was like, 'Oh, my god, its you!' So, yeah, anyway."
