The upcoming live-action StarWars television series may feature a familiar face in the cast. Jay Laga'aia is in talks with George Lucas about a role in the series, according to the New Zealand-based newspaper, Dominion Post. The news was dug up by the good folks at SCI FI Wire.

Laga'aia played Captain Typho in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Typho was the head of Amidala's security. It is unknown whether he is being talked to about reprising his role, or if he would be playing an entirely different character.

The new series will reportedly be about the formation and strengthening of the Rebel Alliance as it makes it's first stand against the Empire. The show will feature many Star Wars staples, such as stormtroopers, space battles, aliens and droids, but will reportedly not include any of the Jedi Knights.
