Abigail Breslin Becomes ‘A Virgin Mary’

Beth Schacter writes and directs this indie comedy about a girl who vows to have sex with her guy friend if they are still virgins at age 18.

Abigail Breslin will star in A Virgin Mary Actress Abigail Breslin has signed on to star in A Virgin Mary for Black Sheep Entertainment.

The actress will star as the title character, a teenager who makes a pact with her best guy friend to have sex with each other, if they are both virgins by age 18. Carter Jenkins will portray the male best friend, while Keke Palmer plays Mary's female best friend. Daryl Sabara has also signed on for an unspecified role.

Beth Schacter is directing A Virgin Mary, which is being compared to Sixteen Candles, from her own original screenplay. Black Sheep Entertainment partners Jordana Mollick and Brendan Bragg are producing along with executive producer Cotty Chubb.

Production is slated to begin early next year.

Virgin Mary was released in 2013.
