Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg are in negotiations with Columbia Pictures to star in the comedy I Hate You Dad, for Happy Madison, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The story centers on a father who moves in on the eve of his son's wedding and promptly begins feuding with the bride-to-be. Adam Sandler would play the dad, with Andy Samberg as the son, even though less than 12 years separate the two in real life.

I Hate You Dad is still in the development stages, and no director is on board, but the two actors are attached. The script was written by David Caspe with a rewrite by David Wain and Ken Marino.

No production date has been set.
