Adam Sandler is teaming up with frequent collaborator Frank Coraci for an untitled blind date comedy at Warner Bros. Frank Coraci previously directed Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, and Click.
The story centers on a couple's horrible blind date that ends up getting worse and worse. They find themselves stuck in a family resort with their children from previous marriages. Rodney Rothman is rewriting the screenplay from an original draft by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera.
Last month, we reported that Adam Sandler wanted to reunite with his The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates co-star Drew Barrymore for this project. The actress' involvement has not been confirmed at this time.
Mike Karz will produce alongside Adam Sandler's Happy Madison, with Josie Rosen executive producing. The filmmakers are hoping to find a female lead soon so production can get under way this May.
Frank Coraci has also directed Around the World in 80 Days, Zookeeper, and last year's Here Comes the Boom.
