RADiUS proudly announced that it has acquired US rights to the much buzzed about Adult Beginners which celebrated its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

A crowd pleaser with tremendous heart, Adult Beginners features a dream ensemble cast including Rose Byrne, Nick Kroll, Bobby Cannavale, Joel McHale, Bobby Moynihan, Mike Birbiglia, Jane Krakowski and Josh Charles and is directed by Oscar nominated producer Ross Katz (Lost In Translation) making his feature length directorial debut.

RADiUS has slated a theatrical release second quarter 2015.

In the film, a young, narcissistic entrepreneur (Kroll) crashes and burns on the eve of his company's big launch. With his entire life in total disarray, he leaves Manhattan to move in with his estranged pregnant sister (Byrne), brother-in-law (Cannavale) and 3-year-old nephew in his suburban childhood home - only to become their nanny. Adult Beginners is a comedy about priorities, growing up and beginning again...as an adult.

Here's what director Ross Katz had to say about the acquisition in a statement.

"The journey of making this movie with this incredible cast has been nothing but joyous. Now to have a world class home in RADiUS is dream come true."

Based on a story originated by Nick Kroll, Adult Beginners was written by Jeff Cox and Liz Flahive and was produced by Sam Slater and Paul Bernon of Burn Later Productions, Marcus Cox and Karrie Cox of Through Films, Nick Kroll of Good at Bizness, Inc, Jared Goldman and executive produced by Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass of Duplass Brothers Productions and David Bernon of Burn Later Productions.

RADiUS co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego had this to say in their statement.

"We couldn't be more excited to go on this journey with Ross, Nick, Mark & Jay and the extraordinary cast of Adult Beginners. We've had a great run with the Duplass brothers and are excited to jump into business with a whole new family of talented producers. A long overdue directorial debut - but very much worth the wait, Ross has made a beautifully constructed, hilarious film that we feel privileged to release."

Nick Kroll had this to say in his own statement.

"I'm thrilled to be working with RADiUS. I like both the movies they choose to release and their strategies for promotion and distribution. Also, they were wearing cool socks in our meeting."

The deal was negotiated by Quinn and Janego with WME Global on behalf of the producers.
