Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Ming-Na Wen has signed on for an unspecified role in 6 Miranda Drive alongside Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell.

The project has been in development since 2011, as a part of Lionsgate's micro-budget slate, but the thriller picked up steam when Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell signed on to star back in February. Universal Pictures is now set to distribute the thriller, under its first-look deal with producer Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions.

The story centers on a family who become terrorized by a supernatural entity they unwittingly bring home with them from their Grand Canyon vacation, which feeds off their fears as it threatens to tear them apart from within.

Greg Mclean (Wolf Creek, Wolf Creek 2) is directing from his own original screenplay, with Jason Blum, Matthew Kaplan and Bianca Martino producing. No production schedule was given.

Ming-Na Wen plays Agent May in ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which wraps up its first season on May 13. She is also well known for voicing the title character in Disney's Mulan, and for big-screen roles in The Joy Luck Club and Street Fighter. The actress also starred in ER for nine seasons and had notable arcs on Stargate Universe and Eureka.
