After first appearing in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Season 2 premiere this fall, ABC confirmed that Hayley Atwell will return as Peggy Carter from the mid-season series Marvel's Agent Carter in next week's episode, "The Things We Bury".

Naturally, it hasn't been revealed why Agent Carter is popping up once again, but ABC has released new photos from the episode, where Coulson and his team find themselves in an epic face-off against Hydra to uncover an ancient secret, while Ward kidnaps his brother, Senator Christian Ward, for a violent trip down memory lane.

The episode also features guest stars such as Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, Henry Simmons as Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie, Reed Diamond as Daniel Whitehall/Werner Reinhardt, Tim DeKay as Senator Christian Ward and Lou Ferrigno Jr. as Agent Hauer.
