Il Mare: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Argentinean director Alejandro Agresti is coming on board to direct Warner Bros. Pictures' Il Mare, an adaptation of the Korean romantic drama.

Adapted by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Auburn, the story revolves around a woman doctor and an architecture school dropout who live in the same house but are two years apart. The pair fall in love via letters they exchange through a mailbox that mysteriously bridges time.

Agresti is a veteran director with a 25-year career. His most recent U.S.-released work was 2002's Valentin. His latest movie is Un mundo menos peor (A Less Bad World), which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival.
