According to Variety, Fox is pacting with Adam Sandler and Jack Giarraputo's Happy Madison shingle and producer William Todman Jr. (X-Men) to distribute Grandma's Boy, starring Allen Covert and based on Covert's spec script.

A longtime Sandler collaborator and frequent co-star, Covert will topline as a thirtysomething man still living with his grandmother. Shooting starts in March, with the pic being financed by Todman, Jr.'s Level One shingle, which will also handle overseas sales on the pic. Fox will handle distribbing domestically, in the U.K. and in Italy.

Covert recently co-wrote Benchwarmers with Nick Swardson for Revolution Studios, which has been greenlit and is in pre-production with Rob Schneider and David Spade toplining.
