Sometimes you have to say goodbye before you can say hello in the first trailer for Aloha, which marks director Cameron Crowe's first film since the 2011 adaptation We Bought a Zoo. The project was given the title Aloha after going through production and post-production untitled, and now we finally have our first look at this new drama, starring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone.

Bradley Cooper plays a defense contractor who gets re-assigned to his old stomping grounds at the U.S. space program in Honolulu, Hawaii, after failing at a recent assignment. Upon arrival, he not only reconnects with his ex-lover, but he also unexpectedly falls for the Air Force pilot (Emma Stone) assigned to him. Sony Pictures has not released an official synopsis yet, but earlier reports revealed that mysterious island forces come into play during the course of this story.

Danny McBride, Alec Baldwin, Jay Baruchel and Bill Murray co-star in Aloha, which hits theaters on May 29. The project was initially slated for a Christmas 2014 release, although Sony shifted it to a sumer release back in July. Take a look at the first footage, and stay tuned for more from Aloha.
