Laugh out loud funny! This movie makes fun of things that you would never think of!

The fat suit is one thing, the dancing is another. Date Movie is funnier than that! Alyson Hannigan stars in the comedy spoof film. Unfortunately, Alyson wasn't really the primary dancer in the movie, but she does give some memorable moves.

This movie makes fun of other films and TV shows that don't even need to be made fun of The Bachelor, Pimp My Ride, When Harry Met Sally, Bridget Jones Diary, Napoleon Dynamite, and a Paris Hilton 'Carl's Jr.' commercial. And that's just the start; there are just some fantastic spoofs in this film " I seriously laughed out loud, a lot!

Alyson begins the film as an overweight female, working in her parents Greek restaurant (a la My Big Fat Greek Wedding). We asked Alyson what it was like to don the suit; her answer might surprise you. "It was incredibly hot. It was definitely an interesting sort of experience. As soon as they told me I could get out of it, I was out of it. I was in the suit for two days; base camp was actually rather close to the actual restaurant, so I walked to the restaurant."

But that was more of a struggle than you may think; Alyson found out what it was like to be overweight. "It was interesting; people didn't look at me, they were kind of rude."

Ok, so those were the people on the street. Her co-stars and the crew of the film reacted differently, but that's because they didn't know it was actually Alyson. "Everybody on set was really sweet the first two days I was in the suit. And the third day I was back to normal and people were coming up to me and introducing themselves. I'm like, ‘Dude, I had lunch with you yesterday. What are you talking about?' Yeah, so obviously the crew members hadn't read the script and everything; it was definitely interesting."

She realized what kinds of obstacles there are being in that suit, and that's not counting the three or four hours a day in the make-up chair, even if it was for only two days. "I was so lethargic when I was in the suit because it was incredibly hot and claustrophobic and everything. I didn't even feel like eating, not to mention having stuff glued onto your face. It would have been perfect: I could have eaten whatever I wanted because I'm sweating so much. I was just burning calories all day long. It really did affect my whole personality. I definitely felt more like, I sighed a lot. Everything was so much more of an effort, little things just took so much more energy. It was interesting."

One of the funniest scenes is a spoof on Say Anything with Alyson and her co-star, Adam Campbell. On this lovely holiday week, Alyson talked about her and husband Alexis Denisov; "He's always carrying a boom box for me; when I brush my teeth, he just stands there with the boom box. It's really romantic. Yes, he's incredibly romantic, real-life romance. Jus the sweet little gestures, like breakfast in bed, and not just on Valentine's Day or something. It'd just be out of the blue and really sweet. He's so very sweet about all these little wonderful things that just make the day better."

Another spoof is of Meet the Fockers; Fred Willard and Jennifer Coolidge play the parts of Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand. Alyson talked about the first time she brought Alexis home to meet her parents. "I did something unintentionally, but very smart. I dated somebody that was completely wrong for me before I met my husband, before I started dating my husband. So I think that they were so relieved that I wasn't going to marry that guy. They love Alexis, couldn't be happier."

As far as spoofs, Alyson was very familiar with a lot of the movies they were making fun of. But the ones she didn't know, or some of the actors and crew didn't know, they would have DVD's of the movies for people to watch.

Her favorite spoof is from My Best Friends Wedding because "I really love sitting around the table and singing the song. Not because I wish I didn't have to sing, but I just loved it because it was everybody. That was our third and fourth day of shooting; it was just so much fun. It was the beginning of the movie, so to see everybody there and everybody was so funny, the props. It was just a really cool experience to shoot."

Of course, Alyson is also on the hit CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother. Going back to TV is something she really enjoys. "We're so lucky; we're having such a blast. We just hope we get to come back next year. They have to see all their pilots and make sure. It would be shocking, I think [if they don't renew]. I was actively looking for a half hour [show] because the family aspect of television, going to work with the same people for the majority of the year and getting to do what I love to do."

And as far as a second Date Movie, I know it hasn't even come out yet, but I had to know. She told me it's in her contract; it just depends on how well this film does.

Believe me, you'll want to see more from this series. It won't disappoint!

Date Movie opens in theaters February 17th; it's rated PG-13.
