Amber Tamblyn has joined the cast of Michael Stephenson's Girlfriend's Day. Bob Odenkirk penned the script and stars as Ray, a has-been greeting card writer. In trying to recapture the feelings that once made him the greatest, Ray gets entangled in a web of murder and deceit as writers vie to create the perfect card for a new holiday: Girlfriend's Day.

Tamblyn will play opposite of Odenkirk as an offbeat "Cardie" (fan of greeting card writers) whose involvement with Ray revives his seemingly lost talent.

Tamblyn was recently seen in Django Unchained and 127 Hours. She will be seen next in CBS' Two and a Half Men. She is repped by UTA, Hyler Management and Sloane, Offer, Weber, Dern, LLP.

Bob Odenkirk can currently be seen on the big screen in The Spectacular Now. He will next be seen in Alexander Payne's Nebraska. The final season of AMC's Breaking Bad, where Bob stars as Saul Goodman, is currently airing.

Magic Stone, helmed by husband and wife team Michael and Lindsay Stephenson; will produce alongside producing partners Marc Provissiero and Bob Odenkirk.

Girlfriend's Day is scheduled to being principal photography in early 2014 in Los Angeles.
