‘American Horror Story’ Gets Dylan McDermott

The actor will star as a sensitive therapist in the FX pilot from ‘Glee’ creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Dylan McDermott joins American Horror Story pilot Actor Dylan McDermott has signed on for the male lead in the FX pilot American Horror Story, from Glee creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Little is known about the plot line for American Horror Story, although it is believed Dylan McDermott will play Ben Harmon, an overly-sensitive therapist who is married to a powerful woman, Vivien (Connie Britton). Jessica Lange has already signed on to portray the married couple's nosy neighbor, with Denis O'Hare also cast in an unknown role.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk wrote the pilot script, with Ryan Murphy directing the pilot episode. Production will start on the pilot after Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk wrap production on this season of Glee.
