New Jumanji 2 Set Photos Reveals Karen Gillan's Doppelgangers

By Brian Gallagher — September 30th, 2016

Sony's star-studded Jumanji remake has only been filming for a few weeks now, but thanks to stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan, we have already seen plenty of set photos and videos through social media. Today we have a new video from Dwayne Johnson, which shows how he can get on his co-stars' bad side, along with a photo of Kevin Hart using a rock to become taller than The Rock, and Karen Gillan's stunt doubles. It seems there's never a dull moment on the set of Jumanji 2 with this cast.

The video, which Dwayne Johnson posted to Instagram earlier today, shows him being driven to the set, while the rest of his co-stars are forced to walk. The video shows that Kevin Hart isn't terribly pleased that The Rock gets to drive, while passing the rest of his co-stars, including Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas. Here's what Dwayne Johnson had to say about the profanity-laced video from the Jumanji 2 set below.

"Where else can I drive down a jungle dirt road and find @nickjonas, @karengillanofficial, @kevinhart4real callin' me a motherf*cker and Jack Black happily enjoying ice cream. Luv these guys. What a motley crew we've assembled. Havin' a blast. #OnLocation #Hawaii #Jumanji #WhyWalkWhenYouCanDrive"

While we haven't seen them on the set at this time, we reported last week that the production has added four more cast members, Alex Wolf, Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman and Morgan Turner. Alex Wolff, the brother of The Stand and Death Note star Nat Wolff, is playing a young boy named Spencer, who's avatar in the Jumanji game is Dwayne Johnson's character, Dr. Smolder Bravestone. Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman and Morgan Turner are playing the other "real-world kids," but we don't know which avatars will represent them in Jumanji 2.

The remake has come under a bit of controversy as well, with Karen Gillan's skimpy costume coming under scrutiny when the first photo was released featuring her alongside her fully dressed male co-stars. Karen Gillan herself addressed the controversy, stating on social media that there is a good reason she is wearing "child sized clothes." Many have theorized could mean that her character has been trapped in the game since she was a kid, and has simply grown out of those clothes, which could be confirmed after the casting and story details that surfaced last week. Take a look at the latest photos and video from the Jumanji set, as production continues towards a July 28, 2017 release date.
