Actress Amy Adams has been offered the female lead in the Warner Bros. drama Trouble with the Curve, where she will star alongside Clint Eastwood.

We first reported on Trouble with the Curve in October, when Clint Eastwood signed on. It is his first project as an actor since 2008's Gran Torino. The story centers on Clint Eastwood's character, a baseball scout who is beginning to lose his sight. He brings his daughter (Amy Adams) along on a scouting trip to Atlanta, so he can take a look at a young prospect. Amy Adams hasn't accepted the offer yet, and it is said she may have scheduling issues to work out if she takes the role.

Robert Lorenz is directing Trouble with the Curve from a screenplay by Randy Brown. Robert Lorenz is Clint Eastwood's producing partner at Malpaso Productions, and Trouble with the Curve will serve as his directorial debut.

No production schedule was released for Trouble with the Curve.
