With her first major feature film Trainwreck coming out in less than two months, Amy Schumer has signed on to co-write and star in an Untitled Amy Schumer Action Comedy for 20th Century Fox. Although specific story details are being kept under wraps, the plot has been compared to The Heat, with the story centering on a mother-daughter duo trapped in a vacation that keeps getting worse. Naturally, it is believed that Amy Schumer will play the daughter, but it isn't known who will play the mother at this time.

Amy Schumer will co-write the script with her sister Kim Caramele, who writes on the actress' Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer. They will both be reworking an existing script by The Heat writer Katie Dippold, crafting it to give the main character Amy Schumer's voice. No production schedule was given for this new project as of yet.

Paul Feig is producing through his FeigCo company along with Jesse Henderson and Chernin Entertainment. No director is attached at this time, but Katie Dippold will executive produce. Amy Schumer can currently be seen on Comedy Central Inside Amy Schumer, and her new movie Trainwreck hits theaters on July 17. She also recently signed on for an HBO stand up comedy special, which will be directed by Chris Rock.
