Anchor Bay has some Hatchet plans for 2007!

In a story from Home Media Retailing, they report that Anchor Bay Entertainment has picked up the home video and theatrical rights to the film Hatchet.

It will be released April 13 from Starz Home Entertainment.

Synopsis:

When a group of tourists on a New Orleans haunted swamp tour find themselves stranded in the wilderness, their evening of fun and spooks turns into a horrific nightmare.

Kane Hodder and Robert Englund also appear in the film.

Fangoria reports that Spooked: The Ghosts of Waverly Hills Sanatorium is currently available at retail stores everywhere.

Synopsis:

This film looks at "the somber history of Waverly Hills, from its days in the early 1900s as a tuberculosis sanatorium (where over 60,000 patients allegedly died) to its notorious run as an inferior geriatrics hospital and ultimately its present-day status as a hot spot for ghost hunts. Interviews with ex-patients and employees are included among recent EVP recordings, photos and footage of what the Booth Brothers believe are actual ghosts."
