Chris Noth's Mr. Big has been completely scrubbed from the upcoming season finale of And Just Like That... on HBO Max. While the character was written out of the series in the Sex and the City revival's first episode, there were plans for him to appear in a scene in the finale as well. Because of recent sexual assault allegations against Noth, TVLine reports that the Mr. Big footage intended to be used in the finale "will not make it to air."

Developed for HBO Max, And Just Like That... picks up 11 years after the events of Sex and the City 2. While Kim Cattrall will not be featured, the series brings back Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis to reprise their original roles. Noth was one of a handful of other stars from the original show to come back, though his return as Mr. Big was very short-lived.

In the premiere episode (WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD), it is revealed that Mr. Big has become obsessed with his Peloton brand exercise bike. The character ends up suffering a heart attack while using the Peloton before dying in Carrie's arms, setting her up to explore new romantic opportunities with the new show. Peloton later addressed at the incident by hiring Noth for an ad poking fun at his character's death.

Soon after the return of Chris Noth on And Just Like That..., the actor was accused of sexual assault by two women who reportedly didn't know one another in an article published by THR. The incidents were said to have happened in 2004 and 2015. Noth immediately denied the allegations in a statement insisting that the incidents were consensual, though more women would accuse him of sexual misconduct in the following weeks; the actor has denied this as well.

"The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false," Noth stated. "These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. It's difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don't know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."

At this time, Noth has not been charged with a crime as police are investigating, but the claims have had an adverse effect on the actor's career. He had already been killed off on And Just Like That..., but he was then written out of his starring role on The Equalizer. Noth was also dropped by his agency and it was reported that a $12 million dollar deal to sell his tequila brand wouldn't go through. The stars of And Just Like That... would also release a joint statement in support of the accusers.

While it seems obvious that Mr. Big won't be featured on And Just Like That... moving forward, it has been reported that season 2 negotiations with HBO Max are on pause due to the Chris Noth controversy. For now, you can watch the first season on HBO Max.
