Angelina Jolie may be the hardest working actress in Hollywood as X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2's Christopher McQuarrie is writing a new film entitled Unforgiven for the popular star to headline, according to Deadline New York.

We reported yesterday that Angelina Jolie will make her directorial debut with a new love story set during the Bosnian war, which is being developed by producer Graham King and his GK Films production company. Graham King is also behind this new Unforgiven project, which will be based on the 2009 BBC mini-series which centers on a woman trying to adjust to life on the outside after serving a 15-year sentence in prison for murdering two cops. The murder happens after the two cops come to evict the woman from her family's farmhouse. After she leaves prison, she hopes to live a quiet life with her younger sister. Instead, she is targeted for revenge by the son of one of her victims.

The site reports that Angelina Jolie doesn't commit to projects until a script has been completed, although this script was said to be on the fast track. Angelina Jolie also worked with Graham King and GK Films on her upcoming film The Tourist, which also stars Johnny Depp and was co-written by Christopher McQuarrie. It will hit theaters on December 10.

We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on Unforgiven as soon as we have more information.
