Anthony Mackie, Aubrey Plaza, Giovanni Ribisi, and Philip Baker Hall are in talks to join Justin Reardon's comedy A Many Splintered Thing.

Chris Evans stars as a man who meets an engaged woman (Michelle Monaghan), just as he is becoming disenfranchised with the prospect of love. He starts a platonic relationship with the woman, in hopes of trying to win her over, despite her relationship status. No character details were given for these new cast members.

Commercials director Justin Reardon will direct from a screenplay by Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair, which landed on the 2011 Black List. McG is producing with Mary Viola and Voltage Pictures' Nicolas Chartier and Craig J. Flores. Production is scheduled to begin later this month.
