Tru Blu:The NY Post recently received word that director Antoine Fuqua may have been fired from the director's chair on the upcoming Denzel Washington starrer, Tru Blu...

Antoine Fuqua, the director who made the 2001 hit "Training Day" starring Denzel Washington, was unceremoniously fired yesterday from his latest project, "Tru Blu," sources say. The movie, which would have reunited Fuqua and Washington and is also to star Benicio del Toro, tells the story of Harlem-raised heroin smuggler Frank Lucas, who imported the drug into the U.S. in caskets of soldiers killed in Vietnam. Uncertainty now surrounds the project, produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard of Imagine Entertainment, which was to shart shooting in two weeks. Universal Studios did not return calls.
