Last weekend, tragedy struck Hollywood once again, when another beloved actor, Anton Yelchin, passed away at the age of 27. The death was a result of a freak accident, with the actor found at his home, pinned between his own vehicle and a concrete mailbox. Today we have yet another touching tribute celebrating the actor's life, from his Star Trek franchise co-star Zoe Saldana.

Many of Anton Yelchin's colleagues and fans within the Hollywood community paid tribute to the late actor as the news first broke on Sunday morning. Zoe Saldana herself tweeted out a brief message on Monday, but yesterday, she took to Instagram to honor her fallen co-star. Here's what the actress had to say in her statement below.

"Your sudden and unexpected departure has left us all broken hearted. I woke up today feeling absolute gratitude that I had you as a friend and colleague. Your life has been cut short, but I will always tell everyone about you. You were kind, present, old souled, curious, brilliant, funny, humble, honest, and undeniably talent. Good bye Anton, it was an honor to have crossed paths with you."

The actor's death has already been officially ruled an accident, as it appears his own 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled down the actor's driveway and crushed him to death. The vehicle was part of a recall issued by Jeep manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and it was reported that this vehicle's flaw resulted in 41 injuries. We also reported this week that the auto manufacturer may be heading to court over this "recall."

Just yesterday, we reported that a class action lawsuit was filed against Fiat Chrysler, with the complaint referencing the actor's death numerous times. The jury-seeking complaint is also asking for an injunction to stop Fiat Chrysler's alleged deceptive practices, punitive damages for fraud, "immediate installation of a safety override system or replacement of the defective ZF Shifter," a temporary replacement car and compensation for any additional costs owners may have incurred. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any updates on the lawsuit, but until then, check out Zoe Saldana's heartwarming tribute to the late Anton Yelchin.
