For several months, actor Jason Momoa teased and hinted that he was playing Aquaman before it was finally confirmed last summer. There have been rumors that Aquaman and the rest of the Justice League will assemble for the first time at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before the two-part Justice League and the stand alone Aquaman movie, slated for release in 2018. During a new interview with USA Today, Jason Momoa offered a few details about his portrayal of Aquaman, revealing that he trusts Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder's vision and teasing that he is 'in for the long haul."

"You know, I don't know what it's going to be like yet. But I'm in for the long haul, and it's an honor. Zack [Snyder] had me at hello, literally when he told me what he wanted to do with the character and what he wanted to do with the world. There's no script written yet for certain things, but I listen to his ideas, I trust him. You just have to be believe in that."

Aquaman will likely be popping up in four movies over the next four years, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25, 2016), Justice League Part 1 (November 11, 2017), Aquaman (July 27, 2018) and Justice League Part 2 (June 14, 2019). What his plans are beyond those four movies are unclear, but there will certainly be no shortage of Aquaman over the next few years. The actor also said that Aquaman is one of the few characters his young children will actually get to see.

"One thing that's really cool is I have a 6 year-old and a 7 1/2 year-old, and I'm known for playing rough characters and they're not really allowed to see those things, so it's going to be exciting just for my kids to see poppa play with Batman and Wonder Woman and Superman and so on. It's really cool that my kids can do that. If it's really, really, really dark then obviously my kids- it's not coming out until... 2016 is what, Batman V Superman? Justice League is like 2018? I think they'll be alright by then. They'll probably be like 'Dad we don't even like Batman anymore!'"

Aquaman doesn't have a screenwriter or a director confirmed at this time, but Jason Momoa has said in the past that he wants Zack Snyder to direct. Since Zack Snyder is directing both Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2, it might be a tall order to try and squeeze in Aquaman before those movies.
