Just when you thought it was safe to go back to Riverdale! They've fought off a zombie invasion and the Predator. Now, Archie and his pals face the biggest threat to their lives yet, and their idyllic town will never be the same. Yes, this July, Archie will square off with his most dangers foe ever...Sharknado!

The Archie Vs. Sharknado crossover comic will arrive just in time to help promote the Syfy summer premiere of the latest movie in the popular cult franchise Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!. In this one-shot, Archie and his friends are ready to relax and enjoy summer when they're faced with a storm of sharknados heading up the shoreline from the "Feast" coast. FRjvaJOCmIK3nj|Sharknado trilogy director Anthony C. Ferrante wrote the story with art by Archie legend Dan Parent. Ferrante said in a press release:

"Having a chance to crossover the Archie comics with our Sharknado universe has been a dream come true. Riverdale will never be the same and I know fans are going to get a thrill out of seeing Archie, Betty, Veronica and the rest of the gang unleash their inner Fin Shepards."

The extra-sized 48-page comic book will be set in the same timeline as Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! and hits on the same day as the SyFy Original premieres, Wednesday, July 22. Dan Parent states:

"I can't tell you the thrill of working on Sharknado. I might be the biggest Sharknado fan, watching multiple airings of the movies, going to theatrical screenings. attending the Riff Trax versions and then buying the DVDs. So to be able to bring Sharknado into the world of Archie is a dream come true. And to be working on it with Sharknado director Anthony C. Ferrante is the icing on the cake! I promise to put my all into this project to make all the Sharknado and Archie fans proud!!!"

Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! reunites stars Ian Ziering as Fin, Tara Reid as April and Cassie Scerbo as Nova. David Hasselhoff and Bo Derek will join the cast as Fin's father and April's mother, respectively. The film is literally filled to the gills with cameo roles as well, including Mark Cuban as the President of the United States, Ann Coulter as the Vice President, Michele Bachmann as herself, Jerry Springer as a manic tourist, *NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, Washington Redskins tackle Tom Compton as a reporter and Chris Jericho as "Bruce the roller coaster ride operator".

Archie Vs. Sharknado have two variant covers by Francesco Francavilla and Robert Hack and will retail at $4.99. Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead will fight fishy foes on July 22 in comic book stores nationwide and online! You can take a look at one of the covers here:
