Chris Terrio, who wrote the screenplay for last year's Best Picture winner Argo, has signed on to rewrite the script for Batman Vs. Superman.

The writer has a strong relationship with both Warner Bros. and Argo director Ben Affleck, who is playing Batman in this highly-anticipated sequel. David S. Goyer wrote the original draft for the sequel, although it isn't known if Chris Terrio is using elements of that script, or if he is starting from scratch.

Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) reprise their roles from this summer's Man of Steel, with Gal Gadot playing Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa portraying an unspecified character. It's been rumored that Jason Momoa may play either Doomsday or Martian Manhunter. We also reported earlier today that Joaquin Phoenix is in contention for another role, which could be Lex Luthor.

Zack Snyder is directing, with shooting scheduled to begin this coming March in Pontiac, Michigan.
