Arielle Kebbel joins ABC pilotLife UneXpected's Arielle Kebbel has joined ABC's drama pilot Hallelujah, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Hallelujah centers on a stranger who comes to the small town of Hallelujah, Tenn. to bring justice, peace and restore the faith in the world the residents of the troubled town desperately need. Episodes will be punctuated by songs sung by a gospel choir, which serves as a Greek chorus of sorts.

Arielle Kebbel will play the role of Veda Roman in Marc Cherry's ABC Studios drama pilot.

Jesse L. Martin star as Jared and Frances O'Connor as Ruth.

Marc Cherry scripted the episode, and Michael Apted will direct.

          as a Christian this show worries me greatly. especially with the mention of a Gospel choir and all the Christian stereotypes. *sigh*

          i hope they do this well, but i have a feeling it will be emotional mush disconnected from reality.
