Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is reportedly circling the lead role in Captive, which Emmett/Furla Films is producing.

The screenplay was written by Benjamin A. van der Veen (Che (Part 2)) and centers on a successful American real estate tycoon living in Brazil. He is kidnapped and held in the prison cell of an armored truck, desperately trying to escape, while a detective specializing in ransoms searches for him.

The project is currently out to directors, and it isn't clear when production may start. Arnold Schwarzenegger's first project back from his hiatus as California governor will be Last Stand from director Jee-woon Kim. We also reported this week that Arnold Schwarzenegger is confirmed for a "substantial role" in The Expendables 2 alongside Bruce Willis.
