Shortly before Arrested Development made its glorious return with Season 4 on the Netflix streaming service, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos hinted that they may be developing both a fifth season and a movie at the same time. While we haven't heard much about either a movie or Season 5 since then, Ted Sarandos recently revealed that he's "positive" a new season will happen, but he isn't sure when that may happen.

"It's just a matter of when."

He added that sorting out all of the busy cast members schedules is one of the main reasons why they don't know when Season 5 may happen.

Season 4 episodes primarily focused on one character in the Bluth family at a time, instead of the family as a whole, which didn't sit too well with some longtime fans. Ted Sarandos acknowledged their criticisms, but he wouldn't reveal if the new season would rectify this concern.

(It's) a fair criticism that the cast didn't appear on screen often enough together."

Our report from last May revealed that the cast does have a deal in place to make more episodes, but now it seems that we'll just have to wait and see when that might happen. We also reported in August that the Arrested Development will happen before Season 5, but we haven't heard any new details since then.
