Just a few weeks ago, we reported that The CW is developing a spinoff series that will feature Arrow characters Atom (Brandon Routh) and the original Black Canary (Caity Lotz) along with The Flash characters Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Firestorm (Victor Garber). It was also revealed that the show will feature three major DC Comics character who have not appeared on a TV series before. TV Line has a new casting breakdown that reveals details about these three new "mystery characters," along with theories on who they may be from the DC Comics universe. Take a look at the character descriptions below, along with the subsequent theories on their identities.

The Traveler

Described as a "Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.

Female Warrior

This twentysomething Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior - so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.

Mystery Hero

An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.

The site speculates that "The Traveler" may be either Rip Hunter or Booster Gold. Rip Hunter debuted in the DC Comics title Showcase in 1959, a time-travelling hero who has fought alongside Superman and also battled the Anti-Moniter. The character has stated in the comics that Rip Hunter isn't his real name, but an alias so his enemies can't kill him when he's a helpless infant in the past. While Booster Gold is named as a possibility, the previous report said these new characters had never appeared in a TV series before, and Booster Gold was seen in one episode of CW's Smallville, played by Eric Martsolf.

The female warrior could be Helena Kosmatos, a.k.a. Fury, an Amazon heroine who got her powers from the ancient Furies, and Yolanda Montez, who took over the Wildcast superhero persona from her godfather, Ted Grant. It's possible that she could also be Pantha, a.k.a. Rosabelle Mendez, a member of the New Titans, or Nightwing character Tarantula a.k.a. Catalina Marie Flores. The Yolanda Montez character could be possible since Ted Grant has showed up in a few Season 3 episodes of Arrow, played by J.R. Ramirez.

The African-American "Mystery Hero" could be Static, a.k.a. Virgil Ovid Hawkins, a high school student who was exposed to experimental chemicals while being caught in a gang war, which gave him electromagnetic powers that he used to fight crime. The site also speculates that the character could also be either Black Lightning or Black Vulcan. What do you think about this trio of mystery characters for the Arrow/Flash Spinoff spinoff?
