Fans will get to welcome a familiar face back to Star City early next year in an upcoming episode of Arrow. Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Colton Haynes, who hasn't been seen since the end of Season 3, will return as Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal. Here's what executive producer Marc Guggenheim had to say in a statement about Colton Haynes' return to The CW series, confirming he will be back in the 12th Season 4 episode.

"We are beyond thrilled that Colton will be returning to Arrow this season. It was always our intention to have him return following his departure last season, but it was a matter of finding the right story line to pull it off. That opportunity presented itself in episode 412 and we can't wait for the fans to see this reunion."

Unfortunately, no story details were given about Arsenal's return, but Colton Haynes confirmed the news on his Twitter page earlier today, revealing that he has just landed in Vancouver to film his scenes in Arrow. The 12th episode currently doesn't have a title yet, but it will be the third episode back from the show's holiday hiatus. The show's IMDB page lists the episode as airing on February 10, 2016, but that has not been confirmed yet.

Colton Haynes was last seen in Arrow's penultimate Season 3 episode, This Is Your Sword, where he took the fall for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), admitting that he is the Arrow. After faking his own death in prison, Roy Harper left Star City, leaving his Arsenal suit behind for Thea Queen (Willa Holland). Thea's transformation after being resurrected in the Lazarus Pit will surely be a topic of conversation when Roy returns to Star City.

Colton Haynes most recently starred on the big screen in San Andreas alongside Dwayne Johnson, and he will next be seen in Triumph alongside RJ Mitte and Johnathon Schaech.
