Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Arrow star Stephen Amell, an unabashed fan of the WWE, would be getting in the ring at WWE SummerSlam 2015. Stephen Amell teamed up with WWE Superstar Neville (a.k.a. Ben Satterly) for a tag-team match with the actor's rival Stardust and Barrett at the pay-per-view event, a match that didn't disappoint. If you didn't watch WWE SummerSlam 2015 last night, there will be SPOILERS for the event, so read on at your own risk.

As expected, Stephen Amell and Neville emerged victorious over Stardust and Barrett, but many fans probably weren't expecting the actor to perform so well in the squared circle. After the match, WWE released a video from the SummerSlam match's final moments, where Stephen Amell flung himself off the top rope to take out both of his opponents outside of the ring. He then threw Barrett back into the ring, enabling his partner to pull off his finishing move, appropriately dubbed the Red Arrow, to secure the victory.

WWE fans are often treated to celebrity appearances during their weekly Monday Night RAW and Smackdown shows, along with pay-per-view events like SummerSlam. Those celebrities rarely put in the time and effort to put on a convincing performance in and out of the ring, but Stephen Amell certainly exceeded most fans' expectations. We also have a few GIF's from last night's event, where Stephen Amell was seen leaping from the apron to the top rope, entering the ring in quite the impressive fashion, and also delivering a solid hip toss to Stardust.

The Arrow star's rivalry with Stardust goes back to a Monday Night RAW event on Memorial Day, where the actor was seen watching the action from a ringside seat when he was confronted by the wrestler. This spawned months of verbal sparring between the two through social media, which came to a head when Stardust stole an iconic line from Stephen Amell's character Oliver Queen, "You failed this city," during a Smackdown event. Stephen Amell later added that he has been honing his WWE skills, claiming that his Arrow Season 4 costume reveal at Comic-Con was his first chance to put together a "WWE-style promo."
