He has interviewed a variety of directors, from Wim Wenders and Luca Guadagnino to Joe Swanberg and Ken Loach. He's spoken with actors such as Colin Farrell, Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman, Kurt Russell, Liam Neeson, Jerry Seinfeld, and many more. He's been watching and studying movies since he was six years old, spending summers with his grandparents and watching multiple VHS tapes a day.

Matt's main foccus is behind the scenes, editing our reviews and interviews, though he still tries to write them from time to time. He manages a wonderful team of editors and writers at MovieWeb, using his extensive film knowledge, English skills, and complete lack of a life outside work to maintain the website. He is specifically focused on shedding light on great directors and talent behind the scenes, and exploring the world of independent, international, and arthouse film for audiences who are sick of the same old crap.
