It has long been rumored that the Guardians of the Galaxy team will finally meet-up with Marvel's The Avengers in The Avengers 3, following their own solo efforts in next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron and 2016's Guardians of the Galaxy 2. A new report claims this to be somewhat true, stating that Dave Bautista, who stars as Drax, will have a significant role in the impending Marvel ensemble that will be The Avengers 3, which will serve to bridge the two Marvel franchises as Phase 3 moves into Phase 4.

Wrestling site PWMania claims that Marvel is in the process of restructuring Dave Bautista's contract, which should bring him more money as the fan-favorite Drax who managed to steal quite a few scenes in the original Guardians of the Galaxy. Not only is this contract for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but it includes a role in The Avengers 3 as well.

Don't expect a cameo though, as Drax will play a significant role in the plot. The story does not say whether or not the other Guardians will be showing up, but it is assumed they will. There have been rumors, though, that the Guardians get split-up somewhere between the next three movies, and that only a few team members will be appearing in The Avengers 3. At this point, any line-up of characters is possible.

With Avengers: Age of Ultron expected to assemble a new team of Avenger superheroes under the watch of Captain America, The Avengers 3 could be the most loaded Marvel movie yet. Will there even be room for Drax to have a significant role?

This latest report goes onto claims that Dave Bautista's Hollywood agents no longer want him involved with the WWE. They don't believe the pro-wrestling Superstar has been given what he was promised by the organization, and that the WWE have refused to let him carry out some of his own ideas, which has kept the man (known on stage as Batista) from reaching his full potential.

Dave Bautista is said to have expressed some of the same frustrations as his Hollywood agents. The two sides are currently in talks, which may see Batista continuing on in the ring. But his WWE obligations will definitely take a backseat to his Marvel role as Drax and any other big screen offers that come his way.

Not only does Dave Bautista have roles lined-up in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and The Avengers 3, but he will next be seen in the Kickboxer remake alongside Georges St. Pierre, Scott Adkins and Tony Jaa.
