Last month, when documents from Sony Pictures were being leaked onto the internet during a massive hack, it was revealed that the studio was in talks with Marvel for a deal that would bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Marvel was hoping to bring Spidey in for Captain America: Civil War, the deal ultimately fell through. Although another report from December claimed Marvel and Sony may still be able to come to some sort of agreement. Today, Latino-Review reports that the deal has been finalized, and, while Spider-Man won't be seen in Captain America: Civil War, the beloved superhero will reportedly make his Marvel Studios debut in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War Part 1. Be warned that there will be plenty of SPOILERS for several Marvel Phase Three movies throughout the rest of this story, so read on at your own risk. And remember, none of this is official, as there has been no confirmation from Sony, Marvel or Disney.

Latino-Review shuts down a recent rumor that either Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire may be coming back for an alleged Sony project entitled Amazing Vs. Spider-Man, instead revealing that Spider-Man will be played by a new actor in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1. The site also confirms a long-standing rumor that, at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, there will be a new team of Avengers, lead by Captain America (Chris Evans), while adding that they "think" Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will end up somewhere in space, although that isn't confirmed. Captain America: Civil War will supposedly reveals that The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) killed Howard Stark, leading to Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Cap fighting, ending with a big cliffhanger where Tony Stark's whereabouts remain unknown, and Captain America has been killed by Crossbones (Frank Grillo). A lot of these story details sound like speculation on Latino-Review, it should be noted.

By the time Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 rolls around, Cap will be dead, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will be imprisoned after Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man will be introduced. Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 will be "the first true test" of the new Avengers, although there isn't a confirmed list of who will be a part of this lineup. The site did list a number of potential candidates, including Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Wasp, Captain Marvel, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jewel/Power Woman, any of the New Inhumans, any of the classic Inhumans, any of the Guardians of the Galaxy, any Cosmic Marvel characters Guardians chooses to send to Earth and Spider-Man. Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 won't include any of the Avengers from Phase 1 and Phase 2, because they will all return in Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, even the deceased Captain America.

What do you think about these new updates? Of course, Marvel hasn't confirmed any of these details to be true, but if they are authentic, it could truly take Marvel to the next level, even after all the success they've achieved up to this point. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further details regarding Spider-Man, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as soon as more information is released.
