After a blockbuster trilogy of Batman movies from director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, Warner Bros.' Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will give fans a whole new Dark Knight portrayed by Ben Affleck. While fans will cast the ultimate vote about which actor is the better Bruce Wayne, BvS star Harry Lennix, who plays General Swanwick, revealed in a radio interview that he thinks Ben Affleck has an edge over British-born Christian Bale, simply because he was born in America.

Take a look at what Harry Lennix had to say in a radio interview with Vintage Sound 93.1 FM earlier this week.

"There's no question in my mind that he's going to be terrific as Batman. Ben is a very, very intelligent guy, and he also has talent. He is a brooding kind of actor. I think Batman has that temperament. I think they have a lot in common, if you think about it, somebody who comes from a very Americanized background. Ben is from Boston, what's more American than that? Ben is also thoughtful and a little cynical about things. I think he's going to be perfect. I'm especially excited that we've got an American actor here, that's increasingly rare. The last guy, who did a great job, Christian Bale - is British. I think that when you've got somebody that doesn't have to act like an American and embodies that ethos, if you will, then that gives him a head start. And knowing how intelligent and how artful that he is as a filmmaker and actor, I think he's going to do a terrific job."

While many fans expressed their dismay that Ben Affleck was cast as Batman back in August 2013, there doesn't seem to be as much hatred for "Batfleck" as there was just over a year ago. With that being said, do you think Harry Lennix's comments about Ben Affleck having an "edge" over Christian Bale are accurate? Chime in with your thoughts below.
