Now that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is available to watch on Blu-ray and DVD, along with the extended, R-rated Ultimate Edition, fans have been discovering Easter Eggs that they didn't catch the first time around in theaters. Last month, a fan noticed an Easter Egg that revealed Batman's Bat-computer was connected to the "Oracle Network," which may have been a subtle reference to the Batgirl/Oracle character. Now, a new Easter Egg offers a subtle reference to Superman co-creator Joel Shuster. This Easter Egg was even confirmed by director Zack Snyder.

The Easter Egg was first noticed by a Twitter user calling himself Critical Mas, who noticed that the shape which formed in a pane of broken glass looked quite peculiar, and familiar. Using his seemingly considerable powers of deduction, Critical Mas discovered that this shape closely resembles the outline of the Canadian province of Ontario, which is where Superman co-creator Joe Shuster was born, in the city of Toronto. Critical Mas reached out to director Zack Snyder, cinematographer Larry Fong and set photographer Clay Enos seeking confirmation for this Easter Egg, which he got from Clay Enos. Here's what Clay Enos had to say, revealing that Zack Snyder had confirmed the Easter Egg.

"I just showed this to Zack and he said, #finally someone noticed."

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and Standard Definition 2-Disc DVD contains a ton of special features, including Uniting the World's Finest, Gods and Men: A Meeting of Giants, The Warrior, The Myth, The Wonder, Accelerating Design: The New Batmobile, Superman: Complexity & Truth, Batman: Austerity & Rage, Wonder Woman: Grace & Power, Batcave: Legacy of the Lair, The Might and the Power of a Punch, The Empire of Luthor and Save the Bats. There is also 30 minutes of extra footage in the R-rated Ultimate Edition, so it's possible that even more Easter Eggs are hidden within this new footage.

The Blu-ray release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition features a Dolby Atmos soundtrack remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room including overhead. The official runtime for the Ultimate Edition is 182 minutes, with an R rating for sequences of violence. Zack Snyder put back scenes that he was forced to cut so the film would get a PG-13 rating. He also revealed that there is no nudity, just more violence that "tipped the scales" from an R rating to a PG-13.

It remains to be seen how many more Easter Eggs from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be discovered. Both Zack Snyder and Clay Enos are currently in the U.K. filming Justice League, the next installment of the DCEU, which is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017. Take a look at the tweets from Critical Mas and Clay Enos below, which confirm a new Easter Egg from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
