One of the many mysterious swirling around Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated DC Comics adventure Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, is the identity of Holly Hunter's character. We reported a rumor in April that the actress may be playing Dr. Leslie Thompkins, a character from the comics who went to medical school with Bruce Wayne's parents, and knew of Bruce's Batman identity early on, but that was never confirmed. During an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the actress confirmed that she has scenes with Henry Cavill's Superman, details which may debunk the Leslie Thompkins rumor.

"I have scenes with Superman. He looks phenomenal. And to see Ben (Affleck) and Henry (Cavill) together is quite formidable. They are massive hunks of masculinity."

When asked why she decided to make a massive superhero blockbuster at this stage in her career, the actress revealed that director Zack Snyder reached out to her with an offer.

"Zack (Snyder) asked me. He came to me with an offer, and I was like, 'Yeah, that would be fun.' It's fun to mix it up. It was really fun to be part of a giant, massive piece of machinery, headed up by Zack Snyder, who is thoroughly at home in that uber mega environment. Most people would have a nervous breakdown with that kind of pressure, and he's enthralled."

When pressed for more details about her role and the movie as a whole, Holly Hunter had this to say.

"No, of course not. I don't want anything to happen to my kids."
