Earlier today, we reported that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck was spotted on the set of Suicide Squad, where it is believed he will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman for director David Ayer's superhero adventure, which is currently shooting in Toronto. It has long been rumored that Batman will figure into the Suicide Squad story somehow, with unconfirmed reports claiming that Batman will show up at a huge prison riot scene towards the end, where The Dark Knight will confront The Joker (Jared Leto). As it turns out, it seems both productions will reportedly be using Jared Leto's The Joker, with a new rumor claiming he will appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to recreate an iconic scene from the DC Comics. There will be SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

The filmmakers behind Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have reportedly added a new flashback sequence, where Jared Leto's Joker is seen killing Jason Todd, a.k.a. Robin. This is likely an homage to the iconic 1988 comic A Death in the Family, and it actually falls in line with previous rumors that The Joker is the only one to know of or meet Batman in person, and that he killed Robin. But those details were never confirmed. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will also feature a glass casket on the Wayne estate featuring Jason Todd's Robin costume, the sight of which could trigger this flashback. Of course, if these rumors are true, it could also pave the way for Jason Todd to re-emerge later as The Red Hood, seeking vengeance against both The Joker for killing him, and Batman for failing to avenge his death.

Speaking of The Joker, Suicide Squad director David Ayer revealed our first official look at the villain last week, in conjunction with Joker's 75th Anniversary. Many fans weren't too pleased with this photo, which showed the Joker sporting numerous tattoos and even a grill on his teeth. However, a new report claims that this photo is not consistent with how the actor actually looks on the set.

"According to our source, the Joker image everybody is talking about isn't a genuine image and doesn't match up with how he looks on set. He's missing scars (which we reported on a while back as mementos from his history with Batman) and the grill/teeth are a kind of WTF addition to the image. Our source elaborates that he's scarred on his back and arms and his skin is definitely whiter than what we see below. The tattoos are brand new if even real, and may have been added to cover up the areas where his scars will be."

Since director David Ayer himself revealed the image on his Twitter account, we didn't have reason to believe it would be "fake," but perhaps it is all a ruse, until they are ready to reveal The Joker's full look. None of these details have been confirmed, so we'll have to wait and see if these rumors turn out to be true or not.
