This week's Entertainment Weekly features the beloved heroes of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on the cover, and as expected, the magazine also has a number of new photos and details about the superhero adventure as well as some of what we can expect from the follow-up, Justice League. The site's Anthony Breznican also shed some light on some intriguing character details, first confirming that Justice League characters will show up in cameo roles, while also shutting down rumors about the mysterious characters played by Jena Malone and Scoot McNairy. First up, here's what he had to say about the Justice League cameos, confirming Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) are all in the movie.

"There are other characters, like Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg who turn up in kind of smaller roles, more cameo oriented. That was done as a way of setting up the fact that all of these characters exist in one shared universe."

We've heard that all of these characters will show up in Batman v Superman for months, but the reporter has now seen the movie and confirms their presence. We don't know much about how they're involved in the story, but it will presumably set up Justice League Part 1, which starts production next month. The reporter also responded to a supposedly bogus plot description, which puts to rest rumors about Jena Malone and Scoot McNairy's characters.

Anthony Breznican was asked to verify the authenticity of a Reddit user's plot rundown, revealing it's not accurate at all. The Reddit plot summary, from a user who claimed to have seen the movie two months ago, revealed that Jena Malone is playing a "crippled Barbara Gordon," while Scoot McNairy is playing Jimmy Olsen, who was injured during the events of Man of Steel and runs a popular Superman blog. The EW reporter wouldn't offer specifics on who these actors are playing, but he dismissed the whole summary as "straight-up fanfic" and the description was "not even close."

Last month, it was reported that Scoot McNairy's character was actually crippled during the injured during the battle in Man of Steel, but he's not Jimmy Olsen. This wheelchair-bound character is brought in to testify against Superman at the U.S. Senate hearing we have seen in the trailers. In fact, the report claimed that this character can actually be spotted in the trailers, in shots by the memorial for the Battle of Metropolis, and when Superman shows up to the Senate hearing. The report also claims that he becomes a victim of Lex Luthor's (Jesse Eisenberg) campaign against the Man of Steel, with the villain turning this crippled man into a "human bomb," in an attempt by Luthor to get this man close to Superman and hurt him.
