With just under six months left until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), via Box Office Mojo, has issued a PG-13 rating for the highly-anticipated superhero movie. Almost all superhero projects are crafted for PG-13, so the rating itself isn't surprising. There is a bit of a surprise, though, in the rationale for this rating, with the MPAA revealing the movie features, "intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality." Does this mean there is romance in the cards for some of these DC Comics characters?

"Some sensuality" is quite broad, of course, and that could be anything from kissing to dancing to actual sex scenes in the bedroom. Henry Cavill's Clark Kent and Amy Adams' Lois Lane will presumably still be a romantic couple in Batman v Superman, but it's possible that some of this "sensuality" could come from Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. One of the official photos released earlier this year showed both of these characters getting rather close, although no romance between Wonder Woman and any character has been confirmed yet.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before. The cast also includes Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves and Holly Hunter as Senator Finch.

While the identities of most characters have been confirmed, there are still a few that fans are wondering about. Scoot McNairy, Callan Mulvey and Jena Malone characters have still not been revealed yet. You may recall that Scoot McNairy was seen wearing green socks in set photos from last year, hinting that his legs will be replaced by CGI elements in the movie. Jena Malone has been rumored to play Barbara Gordon, but we still haven't heard anything about Callan Mulvey's role yet.

Hopefully the PG-13 rating that was handed out today means Warner Bros. is getting ready to release the third trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A rumor surfaced last month that Warner Bros. is launching a "Superman-only" trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice during the series premiere of CBS' Supergirl on Monday, October 26. On that same night, the studio will reportedly debut a "Batman-only" trailer during a new episode of Fox's Gotham. Footage from both of those character trailers will then reportedly be combined into a full-length trailer that will debut in theaters on Thanksgiving weekend, attached to prints of Warner Bros.' Rocky spinoff Creed. Of course, none of this has been confirmed yet, so when do you think we'll see the next footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? Will it be before the end of this year? Or do you think Warner Bros. will wait until the Super Bowl? Let us know what you think, and stay tuned for more details.
