Last week, new photos from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set revealed what appeared to be a Wayne family mausoleum, which lead to speculation that there will be a flashback scene featuring the funeral of Bruce Wayne's (Ben Affleck) parents. New photos have now emerged, which we can't show you for copyright reasons. To see them: CLICK HERE They are reportedly from a scene that features cast members Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams on the Yorkville, Illinois set, the same location used as the Smallville cemetery in last year's Man of Steel. Another eyewitness revealed that cast members such as Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne were also in attendance.

The photos clearly show a funeral scene taking place, but it isn't known who is being mourned, especially since both Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Clark Kent(Superman) show up to pay their respects. Take a look at some of the details that have surfaced through Twitter, then read on for more information.

The Yorkville set was used for two key scenes in Man of Steel, which explored the relationship between Clark and his adoptive father Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner). It's possible that this could be the funeral of a Daily Planet employee, which would account for Laurence Fishburne's Perry White and Amy Adams' Lois Lane being present.

Naturally, it isn't known exactly when in the story this scene takes place, meaning it could come at the beginning or at the very end. With that being said, here's one possible theory of how a simple funeral scene could bring both Batman and Superman together: it's the funeral of Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).

This is just a theory, but we obviously know that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice starts with Batman and Superman being at odds with each other, hence the title, but we also know that they will come together to help form the Justice League. Perhaps both Batman and Superman join forces to defeat Lex in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, laying the groundwork for the Justice League, and making it plausible for both Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent to be seen together, mourning the villain who brought them together.
