Fans will be able to see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for the first time tomorrow night during Thursday preview screenings, before this superhero adventure opens nationwide on Friday. There is still one burning question fans want the answer to. Is there an end credits scene? Given the fact that it's a two-and-a-half hour movie, an end credits scene may be too much, but a new report from Screen Rant speculates that there could be a post-credits stinger, although there are no guarantees.

The site attended both critic and fan screenings of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and confirms that there wasn't an end credits scene. However, they also bring up the possibility of the studio merely holding back the scene until the movie hits theaters on March 25. But then again, international audiences who have already seen the movie in theaters report there is no extra scene at the very end of this superhero adventure. But, if they do surprise domestic audiences with a bonus scene, it would be quite rare for a DC Comics movie.

Over the past 11 years, only two DC Comics movies have had any sort of post-credits scene, Constantine and Green Lantern, neither of which were the studio's biggest hits, by any means. There were no stingers following any of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight movies, Superman Returns, Watchmen and, most recently, 2013's Man of Steel. It's possible that the studio could surprise everyone and break this trend, especially considering that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice sets up a massive universe. But we'll have to wait and see.

Then again, the end credits scene has become so synonomous with Marvel Studios, ever since Iron Man, where we got our first look at Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury in their first end credits scene. Since then, the stingers have become incredibly popular, and we reported just last week that Marvel's latest adventure, Captain America: Civil War, may have as many as three post-credit scenes. While many fans may expect a bonus scene at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the studio may stray from this practice, to distance themselves from Marvel.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be followed by Suicide Squad on August 5, 2016, with Wonder Woman currently in production, and set to hit theaters on June 23, 2017. Justice League Part 1 will start production next month, with the studio setting a November 17, 2017 release date. In 2018, fans will get to see The Flash (March 16, 2018) and Aquaman (July 27, 2018) in action, followed by Shazam! (April 5, 2019), Justice League Part 2 (June 14, 2019), Cyborg (April 3, 2020) and Green Lantern Corps. (June 19, 2020). Do you think there will be an end credits scene in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?
