Batman-News and Superhero Report have revealed an intriguing photo from the Detroit set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which hints that Scoot McNairy may be playing The Flash. Take a look at the image below, then read on for more information.
Scoot McNairy on the set of BATMAN V SUPERMAN! Look at his legs! Likely post-production related. What could it mean? pic.twitter.com/uBpQb9liAe— Superhero Report (@SuperheroReport) August 19, 2014
When the actor first joined the production in June, his exact role was not revealed, but the first set photos of the actor from earlier this month had many speculating that he is playing Barry Allen/The Flash. The green material covering up the bottom halves of his legs certainly lends more credence to the actor playing Barry Allen, since this indicates there will be post-production work done on his legs. It's also possible that he may be playing the villainous Metallo, or maybe even a paraplegic. At this point, it's anybody's guess until we hear anything official from DC or Warner Bros.
We also have another report from Badass Digest which reveals that, according to a well-placed source, The Flash does appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. By the end of the movie, a Justice League will be assembled that includes Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (possibly Jason Momoa), The Flash (possibly Scoot McNairy) and Cyborg (possibly Callan Mulvey, whose role hasn't been revealed).
The site's sources didn't confirm that Scoot McNairy will in fact play Barry Allen, but these photos appear to provide the latest evidence that he will be The Flash.
In related news, following the first look at Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and the official Superman photo, we have a new shot of the actor on the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set in his Superman costume, although most of it is covered under a large robe as he walks through the set. In addition, we also have more photos that give us our first look at new cast members Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto on the set, along with a new photo of Scoot McNairy. Take a look at the images below, then read on for more information.
