Earlier this week, a sneak peek of Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuted during the fall finale of Fox's Gotham, which revealed that the full trailer will debut tonight on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The sneak peek featured Batman (Ben Affleck) shackled in chains, before he's unmasked by Superman (Henry Cavill) himself. The new trailer that debuted tonight is even more thrilling, giving us our first glimpse at Gal Gadot joining forces with Batman and Superman.

It has long been rumored that the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will featuring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) joining forces with the rest of the Justice League, The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Unfortunately, we don't get a glimpse of the Justice League coming together, but we do get to see Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent meeting for the first time, thanks to Lex Luthor.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be the first big-screen adventure ever that brings both Batman and Superman together. We learned from director Zack Snyder at this year's Comic Con that Batman's Gotham and Superman's Metropolis are "twin cities" separated by a bay, similar to San Francisco and Oakland. It has also been confirmed that part of the destruction in 2013's Man of Steel spilled over into Gotham, destroying Wayne Tower, which helps set up the conflict between these two heroes.

Man of Steel stars Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) return for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which introduces a slew of new characters. Gal Gadot stars as Wonder Woman, alongside Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Holly Hunter in a role created specifically for this movie. Other supporting cast members include Jena Malone, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Tao Okamoto and Scoot McNairy.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will kick of Warner Bros.' DC Comics Extended Universe (DCEU) on March 25, 2016. Just a few months later, the villains will take over with Suicide Squad (August 5, 2016), which will also feature an appearance by Ben Affleck as The Dark Knight. Those movies will be followed by Wonder Woman (June 23, 2017), Justice League Part 1 (November 17, 2017), The Flash (March 23, 2018), Aquaman (July 27, 2018), Shazam! (April 5, 2019), Justice League Part 2 (June 14, 2019), Cyborg (April 3, 2020) and Green Lantern Corps. (June 19, 2020).

Zack Snyder directs Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from a script by Chris Terrio. Both the writer and director will return for Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2, which starts shooting this coming spring in London.
