Before Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit theaters almost exactly one month ago today, the movie had already made history. Warner Bros.' superhero adventure marked the first time that Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) shared the screen together, while also marking the first big screen appearance of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). While the movie wasn't a huge hit with critics, the fans have certainly responded, with the movie taking in over $852 million worldwide from a whopping $250 million budget. While the movie will still be playing in theaters for some time, one of the most pivotal scenes was recently released online. If you still haven't seen Batman v Superman in theaters yet, there will be potential SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

The Japanese website Eiga has debuted this pivotal scene towards the end of the movie, where the fully-costumed Gal Gadot makes her first appearance as Wonder Woman. The scene in question takes place towards the end of the movie, where both Batman and Superman have joined forces to try and defeat the monstrous Doomsday. After the Batwing crash lands, Batman's fate appears to be sealed, but just when Doomsday is about to attack, Wonder Woman swoops in to save the day, before taking the fight to Doomsday himself.

Before she first surfaced in her full Wonder Woman costume, Bruce Wayne ran into Diana Prince at a function hosted by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), when we learned that Lex was in possession of a photo that Diana needed to get back. As it turns out, Lex had kept files on a number of superheroes, including Diana Prince, with her file including a photo taken in the year 1918, with a number of other characters from the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, such as Chris Pine's Steve Trevor. Thankfully for Bruce, he might be dead if it were not for Wonder Woman's well-timed entrance.

Gal Gadot is currently filming her stand alone Wonder Woman movie right now, which has three distinct settings. The production is currently filming the Themyscira scenes in Italy, Diana's homeland, and the movie will also be set in World War I-era London, when the photo shown in Batman v Superman was taken, and in present day, which will lead into Justice League Part I, which also recently started shooting. Unfortunately, there isn't much we know about Justice League Part 1 yet, except that it will be directed by Zack Snyder from a script by Chris Terrio.

Warner Bros. will release Wonder Woman in theaters on June 2, 2017, with Justice League Part 1 following on November 17, 2017. It isn't known if there are plans yet to bring Wonder Woman in for any of the studio's other DC movies, such as Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg or Green Lantern Corps, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more details are available. Until then, take a look at the now-iconic Wonder Woman entrance from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
