When Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters next year, fans will not only get to see Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) going to war with one another, but we'll also get our first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Of course, the 30-year-old Gal Gadot will also be back for her own stand alone Wonder Woman movie, along with Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2. Today we have new details about the character, which will apparently be revealed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A new report from El Mayimbe claims that this version of Wonder Woman will be "very old." Here's what he had to say below.

"In #BatmanvSuperman, Wonder Woman is old. Very old. How old? In the movie there are pictures of her that date HUNDREDS OF YEARS! BOOM!"

There have been rumors in the past that the stand alone Wonder Woman movie will actually be a prequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, showcasing the iconic character's origins. What that origin may be is unclear, but it's possible that they could use the original comics' origin, where Wonder Woman was given life by the Olympian Gods, who crafted her out of a statue. It's also possible that they use the New 52 origins, where she is the daughter of the mythical god Zeus, making her a demigod. This would certainly explain why Wonder Woman has been around for "hundreds of years," but this origin story has yet to be confirmed.

Since there is very little we know about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and the rest of Warner Bros.' DC Comics slate, it remains to be see if this turns out to be true or not. The stand alone Wonder Woman movie will hit theaters June 23, 2017, under the direction of Patty Jenkins. While we wait for any confirmed details about either of these projects, chime in with your thoughts below.
