It's not an age old question. In fact, it's a fairly new one. Jason Bourne vs Batman: Who would win in a fair fight. Matt Damon, who plays Jason Bourne, has stated in the past that his character could definitely 'beat the sh*t' out of Bruce Wayne in or out of costume. It's been seven months since then, but Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck has finally responded. And he doesn't quite see eye-to-eye with his close friend and frequent collaborator.

"Matt is going around saying this all over the place but not to my face. But Matt can't even beat me up, never mind Batman. You know what I'm saying? He has a long way to go...They're just finishing the Bourne movie now when we have our premiere over in London. I'll see Matt and he can take me up on it."

So, forget Bourne Vs. Batman, it sounds like we might be getting Affleck Vs. Damon at the Jason Bourne premiere this summer. And in speaking with E!, it sounds like we should be betting on the new Bruce Wayne to win. Though, seriously, we're sure all of this is being said in good fun. Back in September, this is what Matt Damon had to say about these two characters squaring off.

"Jason Bourne would kick the s--t out of Batman-absolutely! Batman's gotta take on Superman first," he added. "If he could beat him then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne."

Both of their respective projects hit theaters this year, with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuting this Friday and Jason Bourne arriving July 29, 2016. Unfortunately, those two dates are too far apart for these movies to face each other in theaters. But they will both probably perform quite well at the box office. When asked why he hasn't played a superhero yet, Matt Damon said he considers Jason Bourne his own superhero.

"I think they're kind of out of superheroes. Ben's going to be like the sixth or seventh Batman, so I don't think there's really any left. So I'm good. Jason Bourne is my superhero."

So, who do you think wins in a fair fight between Bourne and Batman? What about Affleck and Damon? What about at the box office? We'll probably never really know for sure, except for year end box office tallies, which will probably see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice come out on top. But let's face it, a little competition never hurt nobody.
