One of the hottest shows on television is poised to make a triumphant return. SciFi Channel has announced that Battlestar Galactica will return for its fourth and final season starting on April 4.

If you're new to the show, and want to find out what all the fuss is about, then fret not. The SciFi Channel will be hosting two back-to-back half-hour specials revolving around this series the week before this season premiere. The specials will air on March 28 at 10 PM ET and at 10:30 PM ET. The first, Battlestar Galactica: Revisted will be a half-hour recap show that will give the rookie viewer character and backstory introductions and other essential information from the first three seasons. Battlestar Galactica: The Phenomenon will follow and will be a star-studded affair with celebrity interviews about why the show has become such a huge hit.

In the season-four premiere, the last remnants of humanity continue their search for a new home as the thin line that separates them from the rapidly evolving Cylons is redrawn.

Galactica's crew is rocked by Starbuck's (Katee Sackhoff) sudden and mysterious return from the dead, bringing claims that she has been to Earth and can lead them there. Meanwhile, four members of the fleet are still reeling from the revelation that they are Cylons. Check out the season 4 promo below.

The season premiere will air on Friday April 4 at 10 PM ET on the SciFi Channel.
